During my five months of living and working in Europe there were numerous opportunities to travel. Thanks to a few good friends, my trusty erasable pen (to scam rail passes with), and my willingness to sleep on the ground if need be, I was able to stretch my limited budget to the maximum. Some of these adventures included trips to Rome, Paris, Budapest, Zurich, Florence, Siena, etc.

In Paris I visited all the normal tourist sites. The above photos depict two of my favorite things to see there. On the left is Jim Morrison's grave. To the right is the catacombs, which lie underneath the city and stretch for miles. Here the mortal remains of millions of people were placed to prevent the spread of diseases and free up space during an outbreak of the plague. This was the only time I have ever had my bag searched to make sure I didn't loot any skulls or bones.
